Grandstream Budgetone 101

Maybe I was unlucky - the phone found its IP address and I started to configure it through the web interface, but then the trouble started. Every time it booted it would lock up - no response to pings, no menu activity. Power cycling it was the only way to get it back.

Eventually it stopped working completely. I am told that this may be because when it boots it downloads the firmware and if you power cycle it during that process it is irrevocably damaged.

Either I had a bad unit or it's very poorly designed. I hate to leave negative comments, but mine is on the way back for returns.
