Welcome to the SNOM VoIPtalk Setup guide!
This
guide will walk you through setting up your VoIPtalk service on your
SNOM phone.
To begin, you will need:

Your SNOM phone's IP address.
This can be found by pressing the (?) help button on the 300
model. On the SNOM 320 and 360 models, the IP address can be
found by pressing the central silver button, scrolling down to “Information” and
pressing “OK”.

Your VoIPtalk Display name, ID and
password. Your Display Name is the name you use on the VoIPtalk
site. Your ID is eight digits long and the password if the password
you use to log into your VoIPtalk account online.
Enter your SNOM IP address into a web browser.
You will be directed to a page welcoming you to your phone. This
is your configuration panel.

Beneath “Setup”, click on “Line 1”.
(Or if this is your second line, line 2, etc).
You will now be at your line configuration screen.
In the login
information, the fields you need to fill out are:
The display name
field, as shown below. Enter your VoIPtalk display name.

Fill in the “Account” field,
as shown below. Your account is your 8 digit VoIPtalk ID.

Next, fill in the password. This is your VoIPtalk password.

Next, enter the “Registrar” field.
The registrar is voiptalk.org

Leave all other fields as they are.
The next section is Authentication Settings.
The only
part of this section you need to fill out is “Outbound Proxy”.
Enter nat.voiptalk.org:5065 as shown below.

Then click “Save” to apply your settings.
If you have entered all values
correctly, the “Status” will have changed
to “OK”.

Then go to “Setup”, then click “Advanced Settings”.
Under “Network” is “ DHCP”.
Change the setting to “On”.
Click “Save” to apply your changes.
Your VoIPtalk service is ready
to go! Dial 902 from your SNOM phone. You will hear a confirmation
message welcoming you to VoIPtalk. |
