This adaptor is good as a single phone on a broadband connected network. The setup is is fairly lengthy and best done using a browser across the lan. Mine is now driving a dect 'phone and a fax/voice modem to a PC, and it rings out just fine.. There are delays in the Voip system which means that you stay connected a little longer than you expect. And when a voicemail is left the adapter gives a dial tone to the voicemail on caller hang up, this means that is continues to record until time out. I have yet to see callerid working, but this is recorded in my voip service, so its not serious. The alternatives are the handytone 486 (built in ADSL modem) or the more expensive citrix units. My recommendation is use this one.
