Free Emergency Calling Access

Free Emergency Calling Access (999)

Free access to emergency services is available via VoIPtalk and where 999 has been called, VoIPtalk shall convey Emergency Calls to national emergency operators.

The emergency operators shall route calls to:

  • Police
  • Fire Brigade
  • Ambulance
  • Coastguard
  • Mountain Rescue
  • Cave Rescue

Emergency calls (999) are available with the VoIPtalk service only once customers have registered a mainland UK address, excluding users located in the Isle of Man or Channel Islands.

Registration of an address can be managed online via the customer control panel. Registration will ensure that when you dial 999 the emergency services will be able to view your location details on screen in front of them - you can update your records if you move home or office also via the customer control panel.

Please note if there is a power outage or broadband connection failure, access to emergency calling will not be available.
