A superb product with a bamboozling array of menus, options etc. Fairly easy to set up. The only thing it could do with is some more help files directly linked to the menus. Some options meant nothing to me and I couldn't find them in the PDF manual. That said, it works superbly and reliably.
It would be nice to have some scenarios written to get the most out some of the features like call forwarding, dialling rules etc, but the manuafacturers were very good in emailing back when I asked for help through their site. They don't have a freephone helpline like Belkin but reply within 24 hours.
My last attempt to connect was using a Grandstream 486 and it hardly ever worked, probably because it was linked to my ADSL router rather than working as one itself. But comparing the two products is like a chalk and cheese. The FritzBox takes away all that worry as it is an extremely good ADSL modem router as well.
It's so good to be able to use Voip on a normal phone and have the benefit of faxing and using an answerphone. I might buy another as a spare because I'd be lost if this one went belly up. But so far it's been reliable, and I can always survive for a few days using a traditional router and X-lite.
